Course overview

It is crucial to understand that the EU-UK trade deal (TCA) is not simply a ‘free trade’ deal. To benefit from zero tariffs, businesses must prove goods are of UK or EU origin and this is not always straightforward.

This three-hour course will outline how the deal impacts trade between the UK and the EU. Crucially, it clearly explains the rules of origin under the TCA and the situations where they can and cannot be applied. It will guide you through how to qualify for preferential tariffs and the proof of origin that will be required.

This is an area of particular interest to customs and this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to avoid errors occurring and also to ensure you can benefit from preferential tariffs.
