Course Presenter
Anil Patel
Anil has worked for over 30 years in employment tax matters and specialises in the Construction Industry Scheme. He worked with the Inland Revenue as an Employer Compliance Officer and joined KPMG as an Employment Tax Manager before becoming an Associate Director with Grant Thornton.
Anil now has his own consultancy business and he works with and advises a wide range of businesses, both small and large, in all aspects of employment tax and CIS.
Enter training room
Login steps
- Download and install the Adobe Connect Application. We strongly recommend this step, but you will still be able to login via your web browser if you are unable to.

- Click here to enter the room. Plug in your headphones or speakers before joining the room.
- On the Adobe Connect page that opens, simply type your name & click 'Enter Room'.
- You will then be asked to select your audio options - make sure the correct speaker/headset is selected and test the device.
- Finally, click the Enter Room button again on the top right of the page.
Please note: If you are accessing the course via your office desktop using a remote connection (VPN/RDP), you may need to check with your IT to make sure there are no restrictions. If you do have any issues, we recommend accessing the course directly on your laptop/PC instead of using RDP.

Adobe Connect tips
- Before the course, check with your IT to make sure there are no restrictions on the use of Adobe Connect on your computer.
- We strongly recommend you use the Adobe Connect Application or a modern web browser such as: Chrome or Safari. Note: Internet Explorer is no longer supported.
- We do not recommend connecting to the room via a 'remote desktop' - RDPs can very occasionally cause audio issues or the connection to drop.
- If you have any issues with the audio during the course, these can usually be resolved by:
- Leaving the room and re-joining
- Accessing via a different web browser or downloading the application
- Quitting other applications and ensuring your internet connection is strong
